Hey Smootheeze Fans!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit order fulfillment survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as possible since we need this information to ship your order.

What is BackerKit?

It's a third-party service for project creators to help process orders and collect shipping information! Your Kickstarter pledge information - including order quantity and applicable offers like shipping discounts - is automatically imported into the survey. 

You will have the opportunity to:

• Select which trays you want based on the quantity ordered
• Add additional trays at a discounted rate
• Enter your shipping address and payment info for shipping costs
• NOTE – If you are one of our VIPs who reserved our special shipping discount, you will see an automatic credit for that amount applied at checkout

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to complete your survey. When you receive the email, click the survey link to respond. 

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at:

https://smootheeze.backerkit.com

If you do not receive the survey email by the end of next week, please contact us so we can help locate your survey. Message us directly or post a comment with your Backer ID or Pledge # found on your confirmation. 

The survey emails will start to go out today, Aug 9. We're going to start with a small batch to make sure everything runs smoothly. Then we will finish sending it to everyone at the beginning of next week.

Thank you for making our project a success!

Tess and I want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to our incredible backers 🤩 

We are truly blown away by all of the enthusiasm and support for Smootheeze.

Now that our campaign is over, you’re probably wondering what happens next.

Here's a quick rundown.

In order to start shipping Smootheeze, a few things need to happen:

• First, Kickstarter needs to transfer the funds to us, which we'll use to finish the manufacturing process (this can take up to 2 weeks).
• Second, we have to find out where to ship your orders. We will send our BackerKit survey to collect this information the week of August 12th.

We will give you a heads-up through Kickstarter before we send the survey so you can watch for it. It is important that when you receive the survey, you get it back to us as quickly as you can. Our ability to complete your order depends on receiving this information.

The BackerKit survey allows you to:

• Select your trays: you will select which trays you want based on your pledge level and quantity ordered
• Add additional trays: you can add to your order if desired
• Provide your shipping address: enter your preferred shipping address and pay for shipping if that applies to you

You do not need to make a login and password for the survey, simply fill it out and you’re all good to go! If you want to go back to review your info, just click on the link in your email again. You can always message us if you have any issues.

If you used Facebook to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email you prefer it to be sent to, please message us.

Reminder: You WILL be charged for shipping BEFORE orders ship.

We did not collect shipping fees along with your Kickstarter pledge. You will be charged for shipping when you complete the survey.

I am meeting with our manufacturer today and will provide an update regarding production and shipping timelines at the beginning of next week.

Campaign Progress + Product Update

Hello Smootheeze backers!

We're halfway through the campaign and have just 2 weeks left. We're overjoyed to have surpassed 300% of our original goal. 

We're so appreciative of your support and trust as we continue along the steps to deliver Smootheeze to your door.

I want to share this video update about our manufacturing process:
- We are on track with our estimated production timeline
- We're currently finalizing the mold setup and tooling for mass production

Please take a look at the video below to see exactly how the tray and lid fit together. We spent a lot of time refining this aspect of the design to make sure we have the most robust seal compared to other silicone freezer containers currently on the market.

I'm excited that we are so close to mass production and I will share updates once that process has started.
